Personal Biography:
Robert Seamus Casey is the second child of Robert and Kathleen Casey. He was born and raised in Dallas Texas on Earth. Bother parents were involved in the Warp Five project as Communications specialist. Robert inherited their interests and at the age of 17 he enrolled in the University of Texas to study telecommunications.
In his second year he was approached by a Starfleet recruiter and convinced to sign on upon graduation. With a future as a Comm. Officer, Robert started studying every language offered at the University and a few under graduate exo-biology courses. Though he never became very good at speaking the more alien languages, he found he could easily read any language he came into contact with.
After completing his undergraduate degree at UT, he was quickly shipped off to San Francisco and Starfleet Academy . Once there he quickly rose to the middle of the class. Robert’s focus on the technical side of Communications didn’t sit well with the instructors, whose philosophy for Communications officers was as walking, talking Universal Translators.
Over time Robert did manage to become fluent in the major languages of Earth as well as Vulcan, Tellerite and Andorian, but hard-headedness kept him from excelling at his studies. After graduation Robert volunteered for the assignment on the Forrest Outpost.
